Meeting people on holiday

Same, i hate package holidays... Just sitting there in a large group of people all from similar destinations for two weeks singing kareoke songs whilst bladdered is my worst idea of an holiday.

We try to avoid "popular" hotspots for the council estate scum, nothing snobby, just if i want to see that i'd just not bother driving to Manny airport and head towards Wythenshawe, save a few quid aswell.

The airport is in Wythenshawe you spud
Where u from anyway snobby bollox??

My wife met her best friend whilst on holiday 10 years ago, they are still best friends today and we meet up for meals regularly with her and her fella. Oh and she was also her maid of honour at our wedding last year.

I know where the airport is, thats my point, why spend £xxx on the flight and hotel when you can probably rent a council house out cheaper and sit with the same kind of people allday in houses that resemble those nasty 2star chalets anyway...

We have met couples when travelling don't get me wrong, just when only staying in the same location for around 2days anyway - tend not to form lasting relationships.

And i'm in Kent

You still haven't answered me. I get the impression you don't want to be friends with me?

I'll be friends with you. But I'm not telling you where I'm going on holiday this year!!

This is not about meeting the opposite sex and keeping in touch, thats fine. Im all for that.

However, if you holiday as a couple, and meet another couple on holiday, who you befriend and maybe have a couple of nights out whilst on holiday. Maybe a meal or two.

If you keep in contact despite living hundreds of miles apart, and even maybe once a year spend a weekend at their house and vice versa, this thread is for you.

I despise each and everyone of you.
I met some of my best friends when I sat next to them on the bus.

i was walking though the prom of pria de rocha on the algave when i got chatting to this guy, it was as though i'd known him all my life, not unusual as it was my elder brother. we have stayed in touch to this day.
