Great result from the other Melbourne lot, beating WSW this morning.

With 3 games to go (2 for WSW) the table is.

WSW 42
City 41
Brisbane 41
Adelaide 40
Perth 37

With a much better GD than anyone, 2 wins and a draw might be enough. But 3 tough matches to go (Wellington on Monday without Mooy/Wilkinson) it'll be tough.

Whenever I've seen them without Mooy they do look very average.

I take it its due to internationals are the opponents at a disadvantage as well?
 
Huge game in the context of our history. A win will see us lead the league at the end of a round for the first time. With 3 games to play and if we win all 3 we are guaranteed the toilet seat and an ACL spot. Then we'll see what happens come finals. Exciting times to be a city man.
 
Melbourne City v Wellington Phoenix is just kicking off right now on BT Sport 1. They've just shown that Noel Gallagher is their guest of honour at the game tonight - he got to meet both teams on the centre circle as they took the coin toss.
 
They only need to win to go top of the league for I think the first time ever at the end of a game round.
