Another 10 this week, after Dzeko got one against Spurs the magnificent David Silva has got one today. Think i've only ever seen the MEN give us one other 10 in my life (David James v Chelsea away in 2006)
6 HART - No real saves to make, just good organisation, sharp and safe when needed
7 RICHARDS - His version of quick, robust football kept City’s right flank sewn up and threatened Wigan’s left
7 KOMPANY - Important interceptions and solid in the air, Di Santo only got the better of him once
7 LESCOTT - With Kolo Toure on bench, he upped his defensive game and almost scored a couple at the other end
7 CLICHY - Given a good game by Moses, but his best work was done on the overlap, his pace unsettling the visitors
7 JOHNSON - Sometimes out of it as City attacked brilliantly down the middle, but that in itself stretched Wigan
8 Y. TOURE - Forced into a deep-lying role again, and this time he was defensively very good and still involved in attack
7 MILNER - Not always on the same wavelength as the Spanish-speaking front three, but can’t fault his commitment
10 SILVA - Running out of superlatives. His part in Aguero’s goals was out of this world - ice-cool, precise, visionary, gymnastic, genius
9 AGUERO - His goals had the hallmarks of a truly world-class finisher – and that was only part of what he did
8 TEVEZ - Missed penalty aside, an industrious, skilled and inventive return – did brilliantly for Aguero goal
Substitutes:
NASRI (for Tevez 61) - Made an immediate impact 7
BALOTELLI (for Aguero 71) - Came on as City wound down 6
RAZAK (for Y. Toure 80) - One classy pass in his cameo 6
Not used: Pantilimon, Zabaleta, K. Toure, Dzeko
WIGAN: Al Habsi, Boyce (Stam 60), Caldwell, Lopez, Figueroa, Diame, Watson
(Crusat 70), Moses, McArthur, Rodallega, Di Santo (Gomez 70)
Referee: Martin Atkinson 7
Attendance: 46,509
