That's quite sickening to watch, what a twat. Even though the other car pulled out when it wasn't safe to, there's no way you can excuse going that fast in a 30 zone, if he was doing 30 the collision could've easily been avoided and there most certainly wouldn't have been any deaths.

Serious question, if he'd have died and the guys in the car had survived would the driver of the other car have been done for Death for Dangerous driving for pulling out?

That's an interesting point Del Bosque. And it's the main reason I've held back on fully criticising CMW like some have. The pulling out is in my mind equally as dangerous as the speeding.

Good program actually and I'm glad I've waited to view the footage before jumping to conclusions. To call him a murderer and the comparisons to heinous crimes is totally over the top having viewed the footage

That's the point of having the 30 mph speed limit in a built up area though, is it not?

To protect people who make mistakes, and losing your life for making a mistake is harsh in the extreme.

If he'd been driving at 30, he wouldn't have featured in the programme.

As much as it was sickening to watch, I'm glad I watched the CCTV footage of CMW driving as it has shown what really happened.

The sentence he received was laughable and this for me lies where one of the major problems is.

"hey fuck it, speed up to 70mph. who cares? you might only get 16mths as that footy player did"

The Micra driver shouldn't of pulled out but when a car is aproaching at that speed it can be hard to spot. for a split second if or when he looked to his right there would of been no oncoming vehicle.
