The use of 'festivities' rather than '"christmas' is not meant to provoke god botherers or knee jerkers, who are included in my sentiments ;0)

To everyone who is away from home, nobody should be alone at Christmas.
To everyone in the services who don't get to spend their Christmas with the family.
To everyone who has emigrated and weren't able to make it back.
To everyone who is still hoping to make it back in time.
And to every soldier, be safe.
