We have the ability to sign better players. Our manager is young and full of potential and i have no doubt he will take us far. Can any other team honestly say that? Wenger has his doubters, arry is as good as gone and Ancelloti has already been replaced. They are just jealous that their teams are slowly dying. Next season will be a run-in between us and United, and i will fucking love it when old merson's team are fighting it out for europa league places

A friend said a very wise thing to me yesterday and that was that we need to get use to this sort of dislike.

We're a long way from that at the moment, in the media, maybe, but who gives a toss about the media ? I've not yet met a supporter of another club, who hasn't said well done with a bit of smile. Cast your minds back to August before we played Spurs in the opener. I distinctly remember Merson and Thompson giving one of the most merciless, unfounded pannings I have seen (and thats saying something over the last 3 years). During which they laughed of a suggestion we would finish top four or win anything due to being a ban of mercenaries with no 'spirit'...>Does anyone else remember this?

Is there anyway we can contact these mugs or dig up the footage to embarrass these clowns and make them accountable for these comments?

Seeing the degenerate crack head 'Merse' slurring and urrrming his way out of that would give me a lot of satisfaction.

I remember it well mate, it's been a regular in joke between me and my Dad that when Silva or Yaya Toure have done something good this season, one of us will quote Thompson ''Well he's not Premiership quality is he'' - Those weren't his exact quotes, but he was basically saying that those two players would struggle to adapt to the Premier League, the jealousy was embarrassing. Could you imagine if Silva and Toure had signed for Liverpool, we all know he'd have been singing a different tune. Great that we've had such a good season and makes it even more sweeter when muppets like the Soccer Saturday crew wanted us to fail.
