Now there's a pie.
Great little bakers that, its been there about 40 years, best pies for miles around, did my apprenticeship in Ancoats and that was the place to go for your butties and pies

Ah, this thread made me chuckle. My mum was the catering manager at Maine Road throughout parts of the 1970's.
Balti? Steak and Ale???
Meat and potato (no, fair's fair. I did once find a sliver of corned beef in one) or meat (not 'beef' or 'pork' or 'chicken', just a rather vague 'meat') was the only choice back then... And you didn't get the tin foil, we sent those back to the bakery for re-use... Nor did you get a fork.
Holding a hot pie in a thin piece of paper in one hand, a Maxpax Bovril in the other, whilst crammed into the fluid dynamic of the Kippax must have been a real skill.

And I'd like to find that bastard Millwall fan who bought a hot tea off me and then threw it back in my face... He's probably 80 by now, so I could 'ave 'im.

I fancy that the meat has never roamed the planet on four legs!

Unless it had been wearing a collar with 'Tiddles' engraved on it.

Come to think of it I've never seen a cat or a dog on the walk from Ibco car park to the food bar!
