Meat and potato (no, fair's fair. I did once find a sliver of corned beef in one) or meat (not 'beef' or 'pork' or 'chicken', just a rather vague 'meat') was the only choice back then... And you didn't get the tin foil, we sent those back to the bakery for re-use... Nor did you get a fork.
Holding a hot pie in a thin piece of paper in one hand, a Maxpax Bovril in the other, whilst crammed into the fluid dynamic of the Kippax must have been a real skill.
