Loved Kinky, but not even close. If he would have had the work rate of James Milner and some better players around him to go with his skill, he might have been in the top 10.
 
He went to an Ajax that were pretty good at the time, and mostly looked average, did sod all after that. Great player in a shit side for City, not his fault.
 
Obviously not in same class but when I saw some of his videos here for first time Messish was first that went on my mind for some of his runs.

Though I haven't watched him beside those videos I guess the difference is that Messi can do that stuff when you wake him up at 3 AM and Kinkladze would do it some odd time.
 
For a season at least Kinky was as good as Messi. Just Messi has done it for 3 or 4 years now.

Remember Kinkys goal v Southampton. As good if not better than anything I've seen Messi do. Just City were unfashionable then whilst everyone creams over barca. If kinky played now in the current team they would be talked about as being very very similar players.
 
How come we got relegated with Quinn, Rosler, Flitcroft and Lomas then? Not just Ball's fault. Gio flopped at Ajax and dis nothing special in a good Jim Smith Derby team.

This garbage annoys me. Mr anonoymous especially away from home in the Championship.

What???? I was at Elland road one foggy night way back when. We beat them 1-0 with a Creaney goal if memory serves me correctly. Any Gio ripped Gary Maccallister a new one. Must have megged him 5,6, 7 times. And yes I do mean the Gary Maccallister who is widely regarded as one of the premier leagues all time best midfielders since the prem began.

Your glasses must be so blue it's permanently night.

I loved Kinky, but come on, don't be daft, Messi is arguably the greatest player ever at 25, with many more years to come.
 
I liked Kinky but he wouldn't get into the greatest 50 City players ever!!!!!
