Just heard a stat on ssn that messi has scored 71 goals for club and country in 2012. What a player!

The record is 75 set by pele in 1959 so it's pretty much guaranteed that he's gonna beat that.

Simply the best.

One of the most striking aspects of Messi is that he also manages to be one of the most humble and kind people in football (whether this is true or amazing spin I don't know) and is a stark contrast to our English footballing talent.
 
Messi is a fantastic footballer and could even be the best ever.

It was in a calander year mate, Muller holds the record.

Messi will break it and could get in to the 90+ mark - unreal.
