Meteor shower

Just tried getting my glimpse up Littleborough way. Fog everywhere. Gutted. Saw it 2 years ago was stunning. Not a chance tonight for me sadly.
 
Effing summer. It's far too light up here to see anything. I managed to catch a glimpse of the moon plus a planet, a couple of hours ago, but that was it. Will have to wait at least a month to see the stars again. When's the next meteor shower? Do they come along like buses?
