Micah, can he play as a striker, what do you think?

If we were lower down the league and struggling for someone to play up front it's not a ridiculous idea (anyone remember Warhurst?), even towards the final stages of a game when we want to pump the ball into the box it's not a bad idea. If, after spending what we have on strikers, we are reduced to Micha playing up front, I'd say it's a poor reflection on Adebayor, Jo and Croque.

Do you realise we have a million-zillion pounds? We don't need makeshift players anymore, if you can't cut it in your best position then you're surplus to requirements.

I am just asking you to share with us your point of view.

I think the points of view have been well and truely shared pal.
i understand what your saying , i just cant believe that anyone could imagine the lad up front, hes a defender because he can defend, if he was an attacker im suire the coaches would have noticed, some thoughts are best left unsaid.

I think he could be ...

I like your thoughts on this - why not ask the question!
It's a football discussion forum!

Samba has played up front for Blackburn and there have been many players who have switched between Centre Half and Striker, recent years the ones that spring to mind are Chris Sutton and Dion Dublin.
John Terry (amongst other Centre halfs) often goes up front when they are chasing a lead and the game closes out.

So for the final 20 minutes if chasing a game and we don't have a target man to hold the ball - why not!

He has a hand of outs - good in the air, strong, good at shielding the ball and pace to run in behind.

For the record I actually thought he would make a great Central Midfielder but would have to improve on workrate.

But we are not short of strikers and would much prefer we mould Micah into one of the best Defensive players we have seen in a City shirt.

It is obvious that he prefers to go forward whenever opportunity exist, and he showed a great talent especially during the game against the rovers when he picked the ball up in his own half and steamed towards the Rovers box, he then passed to Benjani who hit the post but Micah was there to put the loose ball into the back of the net.

The way he picked the ball, his movement and control, and managed to pass the ball under the pressure to Benjani and finally his follow up and scoring the goal, that was brilliant and great moments.

Also in the game against United in the carling cup, he played a fantastic ball but van der sar managed to save it.

I am not suggesting any thing, I am just raising the question whether he has the ability or the potential to play as a striker, what do you think?
