Micah Richards 2 stone overweight

i don't believe micah is THAT big, sure he is a stocky lad but come on he is not a bodybuilder. Personally i think lack of confidence is affecting his performances!

Micah's Bulk would never stop him running fast, it might make him less agile though.

Check out this guy in his prime. Never stopped him running fast and hes probably bulkier than Micah.

Difference between running in a straight line and being agile though.

LC was Pumped full of steroids, proven drug cheat. end of.

If Neddy & Micah were smaller they definitely wouldn't have handled Roberts as they did yesterday...he's a big fucker n they wud have gone flying,.

I'd be more worried about him losing that giant leap he has, he's not the tallest guy so he needs that to be able to compete in the air, he's always going to be quick enough to deal with most other players.

If you put weight on you need disproportionately more power to move at the same speed. If Micah wants to put muscle on he needs to put it on where it'll make the most difference to his movement, not where he thinks it'll look good. First rule of weight training for performance is that you should always be stronger than you look, not the other way round.

I think the real problem is that he needs more time to develop his positional play... he's not been playing in the centre of defence for long, and wasn't he a central midfielder when he was in the youth team/ reserves?

His quads are massive, if they don't help him move fast nothing will.

He seems in proportion to me, he would still be a stong lad if he had never been in a gym.

You can't win.

Players are always too skinny, too fat, too bulky, too tall or too small for some people.

Micah doesnt look much bigger than he ever has and I doubt his size is the reason for his poor performances to be honest.
