I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but was he injured yesterday or was he in the squad i didn't hear the full squad? If he was fit what does this say about him and his future with us that he has gone from the first team to 3rd choice right back behind zab and ned

Injured.

Micah Richards dreams of escape to Spurs
Steve Bates
Micah Richards hopes Tottenham can find the cash to take him from Manchester City this summer.

City would want at least £15 million for England defender Richards, 21, who is disillusioned with life at Eastlands and wants to revive his career elsewhere.

Spurs don't want to go over £8m, which will not tempt City. But with injury worries over Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King a defender is high on boss Harry Redknapp's shopping list - and Richards is keen to fit the bill.

As if Micah - a Gooner - would join Spurs.

He has also said in the past that anyone would be mad to leave City now.

If it was up to me he wouldn't have a choice, i'd sell him now while other managers rate him in millions rather than pence.

He's a liability, low to zero concerntration, he is out of position more times than he's in it, he never stops a cross coming in, his forward runs 9/10 result in him giving the ball away then him walking back into our half, his throw 'ups' are of no use and he has the touch of a baby elephant

He's still very young for a defender, and I'm sure he will improve with age and experience.

His athleticism gets him out of trouble now, but I think with more games under his belt, he will turn into a great asset for us.

But for between 8-15mil I wouldn't bother taking the chance
