Neither is Richards to be fair.

I have always maintained that Richards' long term goal should be to play centre half. He is borderline hopeless going forward and incapable of putting any sort of cross in, which is kind of a problem for a right back. The problem is we have at least 4 centre halves who are better than him.

Having said all of the above, I thought he played quite well last night and fair play to the lad because it's not easy coming straight back into the team from cold.

Micah has never had any positional sense and doesnt have a footballing brain its clear to see that. He has also put on too much weight, albeit muscles but hes just too big. He used to be 1 of the fastest players on the team but now hes left behind by most players in the league. I dont think he'll ever be a top defender whether it be cb or rb but if he can read the game a bit better then he will be a good player for us but nothing better.

defo agree with his size issue now!! looks more lioke a rugby player than a footballer and has defo lost speed! lescott has gone the same as well though!! looks like hes put on alot of muscle but he looks slow as fook now!!

Not including Kolarov as we've hardly seen anything of him, but in my opinion Zabaleta has looked our best full back this season, on the left or right he's looked really good.

Didn't think he was great and thought we was awful at important moments.

Ball watching their goal, upfield as they broke. I've always held out hope for Micah but to me he continues to regress far past the rawness he had at 17.

I'm starting to lose hope with him, it could be worse, he could be Lescott... he looks like his arse falls out whenever he touches the ball for us and why he would charge into midfield and leave us exposed against Blackpool, but that's another thread ;)

He's getting better in my opinion and for me he is as good as Johnson

not yet he's not, the pair of them have lost their way, the first one to up his game could be england's right back for the foreseeable.

Not including Kolarov as we've hardly seen anything of him, but in my opinion Zabaleta has looked our best full back this season, on the left or right he's looked really good.

I think Zab is decent on either side. He's one of those players who is not one-footed. I thought when he first went on the left he would be crucified but has shown he can perform in either berth.

There were a couple of occasions where I thought Micah was sleepwalking. Mancini is right about his concentration. There are times when he switches off.

I thought he was terrible last night. He got caught napping at least 4 times, never tight enough to his man & kept letting him past. Boyata looked better than him which says a lot.

So close to getting the holy trinity of Micah stereo types, you couldn't edit something in about his choice of clothing to complete the collection?

I'm yet to see anyone give me a convincing explanation of why his positioning is bad, which bad positions does he take up? My only criticism is occasionally he doesn't get tight enough but all of our defenders bar Kompany are guilty of that. Always shows the winger the outside, rarely caught flat footed and even rarer still is him getting beat man to man. Top wingers like Giggs, Bale etc give him problems but they do everyone (It's why they're top wingers), it's to be expected ffs. He's only 22 or something silly like that.

You clearly missed the amount of times he failed to get back and failed to keep pace with their attacker. And got easily turned in the box. Luckily that last one was handball so the game was stopped. Not saying he hasn't improved on recent times but by no means did he have a quality game.
