First I saw him was at theTheatre Royal, Drury Lane in London in the early 1970s. Playing the lead part in Billy Liar. We were on a school trip, and when we were told we were going to the theatre that evening we all pulled a face.
how wrong we were, the show was great and Michael Crawford was amazing.
A very talented man indeed.

I saw him on TV over here last night in the film How I Won The War (1967) , which I went to see when it was released only because John Lennon was in it - but Crawford plays a good part in it

I also downloaded a film the other day with him in with Oliver Reed called The Jokers (1967) about them stealing the crown jewels

A man of many talents indeed
