1) Foe played for a club I love dearly and died suddenly. It touched me more than Jacko because I personally care more about this football club than I do about any musician, particularly one that never did it for me. (you are right though he was average at best in his season with us)
The differences between Foe and Jacko are this.
1) Foe's story dominated the news for a day or two, we remember him rightly on this site because when he died he was an MCFC player. I object to the Jacko story being rammed down our throat and almost made to feel guilty because I don't give two shits.
2) The BBC news was AGAIN dominated by the story tonight, he was a big pop start 20 odd years ago-FFS.
3)MVF did not share beds with young boys.
If you want to talk double standards, let's see the reaction when Gary Glitter snuffs it.
Glitter is a convicted paedophile with a recurring hunger and history .
There are different types of people involved in these types of discussions .
1 - People who grew up with Jacksons music , adored him , believed in him , and accept that there has to be a little faith in the declaration of not guilty from the legal bodies .
2 - People who loved his music , but are prepared to be swayed by speculations surrounding him .
3 - People who couldn't care for , or know not about his music , yet believe in the legal system .
4 - People who didn't care for his music , and are prepared to be swayed by speculation .
5 - People who couldn't care about any of it , and keep their opinions to themselves .
6 - People who couldn't care about any of it , but like an argument , and any argument will do .
7 - And so on .
The facts are that he is a musical icon , surpassing five decades , and an enormous charity donator , who has done more for kids , and anyone else who needed help , than any other artist , footballer , you name it , than anyone I know of .
He has brought joy to millions , and isn't simply a footballer who unfortunately passed by .
Everyone in the world and his dog knows who Jackson was .
Noone outside of being a football fan will have a clue who Foe was .
If people wish to mourn either , then that is their right , but to cling on to utter bollox rumours and have zilch knowledge of anything surrounding the case , while stuffing those uneducated opinions down peoples throats is pathetic at best , and mind bogglingly typical of what's wrong with the world at worst .
