Michael Johnson (merged)

Re: micheal johnson

Wish the lad good luck and all that, but he's never going to fulfill the potential expected of him in his early time at city.

Injuries and the big time charlie period didn't help his cause for world domination. Who now will step up and rid us of this awful despot?

9 appearances, no goals this season for Leicester.

The lads a myth, not the world beater that people make out.

Any news on how Johnson's getting on?

Tough to judge him on goals scored as he wasn't/isn't a goalscorer.Wonder if he 100% over the injuries?

Re: micheal johnson(merged)

Harsh to call him a "myth", how is he a myth? Based on what he was pre-injuries, there is a better chance than not he'd be in England's midfield by now if he'd stayed fully fit.

Re: micheal johnson

Lets change that then to played 9 league and cup games out of 33 then, still not great is it, particularly as some of those 9 appearances have been from the bench.

What a waste of natural talent. If things had worked out better he could've thrived in this current team, great cover in Yaya's absence.

He wasted his natural talent down the pub I am afraid. To much , to young and not enough guidance when injured. No loss to city anymore. Tru he could have been a fantastic player but chose booze over knuckling down

so true. This is an example of a young player who needed a life coach or mentor to advice him. I wonder if the club have or did have someone that players could turn to ? Im sure that would've helped.

For sure it would have helped but it's also a personal choice.Imagine being 18,earning what 10-20k per week maybe and having everything you could ever dream of.No matter what you have got,if you choose the socialise with the wrong people and have no guidance then what has happened to MJ is no different to other people in society. Not surprised but he made his bed.Trying to recover from a serious injury, alcohol is the last thing he should have been touching (amongst other things-alledgedly). Shame, but we move on
