Michael Johnson?

The problem for Johnson is,once his contract has finished what does he do,if he can't get and stay fit nobody will want him,he won't get a wage anywhere,he isn't even famous enough to get on shows like I'm a celebrity get me out of here, even big brother wouldn't have him,so he really needs to buckle down and put in the graft because there are no money making opportunities for him without football.

Are you serious? he's made enough to do fuck all for the rest of his life and live off the interest

You don't know what he has spent, only what he has earned,so you have no way of knowing how much he has.

If he has blown the best part of 10 million quid, i for one will have no sympathy.

He was earning millions so no doubt he would live like a millionaire, Just like I live to my wages to a lesser extent. He wont be earning £2.4 mill a year (which he wasn't/isn't anyway) and spend £30k a year will he

You could have it all but how much do you want it.

Maybe his idea of "having it all" is different to yours.

It's a shame he didn't make the most of his talent (which I think is slightly exaggerated on this forum). Calling him the new Colin Bell is ridiculous and an insult to the great man. If he had stayed fit he would have probably left by now anyway, like Ireland and Adam Johnson did. He was good but was he really that good?

As has been pointed out, he's probably earned enough to set himself up for life. Good luck to him I say. Time to put this one to bed.

Lots of players get long term injuries. Its about how you commit yourself to coming back. Sometimes the injury is too bad. In his case his attitude has been too bad.

Correct but how exactly do you know how bad the injury is, what support he has had etc. etc.
Because he's a professional footballer on £2.6 million a year belonging to MCFC. He will have had support, treatment, best of care, best specialists, best rehab etc etc.

Have you seen the latest Celebrity Big Brother? They would snap Michael Johnson up quicker than you can say Danica
