Fits the profile more than Doku, never been blown away by Olise. Decent player yes but not seen anything to suggest he’s the very top level. That said if City want him, I trust their judgement & likely in no time at all Pep will have him flying.
I'm all for this signing, he's a really exciting prospect who is already producing a lot of chances in a ropey team. Palmer might have more about him eventually (and similar ages of course) but Olise has more evidence to back it up already
£35 million may seem like a reasonable price, but he would at least be injured until after October, and there's no guarantee of his future fitness(same situation on Jeremy Doku). I've already seen this scenario with Phillips in the last season, so I doubt Manchester City's top management would consider it a wise choice.
35 million, for one of the most dangerous young wingers in Europe last season , a player that got 11 assists , finished fourth in the assists chart. That’s a bargain.
