Michael Oliver to referee capital one cup final

Unless he has improved somewhat in the last few years it's another poor appointment. He's a pathetic soft referee who was defined by his refusal to give Fulham a cast iron 90th min penalty at Old Trafford in 2011/12. The fact he couldn't sign Rojo off or give us two of the most obvious penalties ever in the Derby last season just shows how weak he is.

Liverpool will have free reign to kick lumps out of Aguero at Wembley.

The way some people moan every week regarding who the ref is, makes me laugh
Perhaps some of you would want say Noel Gallagher or Summerbee to officiate to make me sure we win

Whilst the premier league employs a group as inept as the current crop it'll be the same. The only thing tedious is the lack of quality in one of the most important aspects of the game.
 
He is the new Howard Webb, alright as long as you dont get him v Utd where he is incredibly biased to them

Couldn't put it better. It's genuinely quite worrying how many people seemingly believe this whole "every ref is bent and out to get City" conspiracy.

Oliver is a bottler but at least he's consistent with it. He's a decent choice for a final as it's the closest thing to a guarantee that the ref won't be the deciding factor in the game.

Manuel will be gutted. He loves a good bad decision excuse, despite the fact he then claims he doesn't talk about the refs.

No, the majority are poor, can't keep up with the pace of the game and make on average 2-3 big decisions the wrong way - for both sides.
I'd just like to see them improve and if that means bringing in help then so be it.
 
Was portrayed as destined for great things a few years ago but turned into a rag loving chickenshit.

Hates giving pens so expect a soft dipper one and yellows/reds not being issued correctly.

Having said that like twatenburg due to the state of the refs he's one of the ones who are slightly above average.
 
the question is ,if we can win the cup.....Unfortunately I'm not optimistic.
