Well! he is right, they will be there if WE SLIP UP! Must hope that we don't, even if we get past the next group of fixtures unscathed, they still will be ready for us to slip up. The result at old trafford, will be viewed as the key game of the season, if we manage to stay just one point ahead at the end of the year.

Back to Owen, don't forget no-one would touch him with a bargepole before Man Utd signed him.
Always felt sorry for him, because he was one hell of a Striker, the best since Greaves and as effective when it mattered as Lineker. Scored 3 against Argentina, 2 against Brazil, and a hat trick IN Germany!

No doubt he is working as the Striker Coach at Man Utd, that and his Racing tips

He's a grade A ****-end of

The rags are all in a deluded time warp. Their fans, their playing staff, their rasher faced twat of a manager. Or they're pretending to be. Leave them to it is what I say.

i use to like the twat
but since he joined the rags, he seems more of a spokesman than a player......

Not worth wasting a thread on the twat. He's just a bit-part has-been **** trying to big himself up.

But while Owen recognises that City are certainly "a force to be reckoned with", he is confident that they will not experience an uncontested march to a first championship crown in more than 30 years.

"They are top of the league, playing great - as well as they've performed in years," Owen said. They obviously beat us quite well in the league and deserved to win that game, but it was only a few weeks earlier that we played really well and beat them in the Community Shield - everyone was taking a step back then and saying 'it might be a year too soon for Man City' and it just shows how quickly things can change.
I've highlighted a couple of points here.

First of all Michael it's only right and proper you regard us as a force to be reckoned with - Why? Because we are the only football team in the history of the EPL to have spanked your red arses 6-1 at the swamp.

And second - What is it with rags and history? Once again you (owen) have had to go back in time to boast a victory.

Rags are becoming a sad bunch with their whining, moaning and idle threats. They remind me of a small boy who is whistling in the dark to keep up his spirits.

Manchester United striker Michael Owen has questioned whether Premier League leaders Manchester City will be able to sustain their impressive recent form for the entire campaign and insists the Red Devils will be ready to capitalise on any future slip-ups.

Owen, 31, expects City to be United's main title rivals this season and Roberto Mancini's side certainly proved their credentials when dishing out a 6-1 thrashing at Old Trafford last month.

That result - coupled with an unbeaten start to the season that has seen only Fulham take points off the 2011 FA Cup winners - has led many to suggest that it will be a big ask for any club to halt the City juggernaut.

Owen is a fail.
