Michael Shields

I think it's pretty clear he didn't do it. It's such a shame for the lad and his family. I know if I was innocently held it would destroy me.

How on earth have you come to the conclusion that he clearly hasn't done this? Its a worry that you back up a bunch of scouse football fans than the bulgarian judicial system, of which you know nothing...

The lad who did it owned up to it. But Back tracked he's statement when he learned he'd be looking at 10+ years.

in my opinion the guy has been found guilty in a court and behaving like liverpool have must bring a lot of heartache to the family of the guy who got killed fair enough the guy has his rights to appeal but until he is ever proven innocent liverpool should be very carefull about these kinds of public display's

Did you bother reading the article? His statement was different from the actual events and it was decided that he was actually owning up to a different attack than the one in this case.

Don't think we should jump on the scouse bandwagon to just assume this guy is innocent.

What if new evidance comes out proving that he's guilty? Liverpool will look fools!

No more than usual! I don't think the LFC element of his support is official. The top brass there were pretty annoyed about the shirts the other week...

People trying to help Shields in court, it would seem, have screwed him. They've tried to play the courts, creating so many 'alibis' that it's impossible to treat any of them seriously. What are the odds that 2 different people, at gone 3am, would head off to his room, enter, see him in bed and leave? Maybe he did it, maybe he didn't, there's not enough clear evidence to clear him at this point, certainly not enough to counteract 3 separate individuals saying it WAS him. The Sankey confession is pure bollocks, his account of what he did to the Bulgarian waiter doesn't match the facts of what the witnesses saw, or the injuries he suffered. He's basically made up the 'confession' assuming Shields would get off and he'd never have to serve time. He's now taken it back because Shields is STILL in jail and he, no doubt, was getting all sorts of pressure from the people of Liverpool who viewed him as the guilty party and the guy who's keeping St Michael of Scouseland behind bars.

He was identified as the killer by two people including the victim himself and all this nonsense of his mates seeing him tucked up in bed is to me very hard to believe. I mean they've just won the champions leauge and he's tucked up in bed in the early outs and two of his mates can back that up claiming that they went to see him, realised he was in bed in his room and headed off? Do me a favour please........

michael shields got 15 years
getting bummed by local queers
now hes got a sore arsehole
scouse **** couldn't get parol

Unbelieveable quote............

"I felt sorry for him at first, but by insisting it was Michael that attacked him he is just trying to get his compensation money. Anyway, he only came out of the fish-and-chip shop to help out the Germans who were out there."
