What bugs me is when we do start winnning things, all these journos and other media types will want a piece of the cake, they'll be falling over there selves to be part of it.

And we should have long memories and treat them accordingly.

Of that £1billion, a huge proportion goes on players wages.
Players get taxed at 50%.
Q. How much will citys wage bill contribute to HM Revenues?
A. Hundreds of millions of pounds over the next few seasons.

We will actually contribute a considerable amount to houses schools etc - not that these anti-city idiots will ever realise, there job is to put a negative slant on everything we do.

The only thing that will shut them up is trophies.

Shame I missed the bit where he mentioned the 500 million investment for the revamping and City street and all the jobs this will create..

Oh hang on a cotton picking minute.. :)

this is a totally spurious argument because since when are uk hospitals & schools funded by abu dhabi or any non-uk source come to that? if there's a problem here go & bang on the door of number 10 & ask them why we're pissing billions into an endless & unwinnable war in afghanistan instead of building hospitals & schools. ffs.

Or why they're gonna piss a billion on needlessly restructuring arguably the best National Health Service in the world, yet the nurses are still laid shite wages. Or why there are too few high quality state schools and nowhere near enough Grammar schools who can produce high quality people to take this country forward in the future, but they're still paying good quality yet depressed teachers who teach in schools full of disruptive idiot kids!

Yeah City are ruining the lives of millions of people because we are owned by people who will put billions of pounds back into football keeping the flow of money going in the right direction (feeding down) and by letting other clubs have our players for way way less money, if any, compared to how much clubs like Everton would rape out of them if it was their player (we've let other clubs have about 25 players on cut-down prices since 2008, from Ched Evans to Stephen Ireland)!

How can putting a lot of money back into football and not even demanding hardly anything in return be bad for football?! Shit argument, we're nothing but great for football!

I know the best thing to do is ignore them, but when these hacks talk and print so much shite it's hard to just let it go by.

As someone's already put, the minute we become successful these bastard's will be fornicating themselves and scrambling to get a piece of the action. When that moment comes we should shut the door on them and offer them nothing!

this guy is a tosser it isnt up to our owners to build hospital/schools also everyone slates city for giving big wages but with the tax that the club pays every year wouldnt everyone else benifit in this country

Absolutely, but it appeals to the moronic and the illogical. I wonder what Dennis would say were the Government to suggest that newspaper corporations were taxed via a premium on profits to pay for schools and hospitals.

It attracts the baser elements of society who seem to think that the lack of infrastructure is down to the actions of a specific group.
