On this genocide nonsense. In 1945 the allies bombed Dresden, a city insignificent for the most part strategically, over 3 days they/we killed 25,000 Germans, including women and children. Think about that, that's 25,000 in THREE days of bombing with 1945 bombs. The Israelies have far greater fire power than the Allies did in 1945 but have somehow 'only' killed 55,000 in over a year and half of bombing.

He said there are 14 million Palestinians in the world wide diaspora. Just checked the population of Israel is less than 10 million. They should not believe Netanyahu Palestinians round the world are watching and Hamas will just not be defeated - he is radicalising so many enemies now

It's often said by Israelis that they are the original inhabitants of the area known as Palestine.
Interestingly modern day Palestinians have far high levels of bronze age DNA from the region than modern day Jews, especially Azkenazis. Unsurprisingly as the latter spent 2000 years in Europe.
However it suggests that Palestinians have been there all along.
Also unsurprisingly Mizrahi Jews who lived in Iraq, Persia etc are closer to Palestinians in having more middle eastern DNA.

Do any Israelis claim to be the original inhabitants of the land?

The whole claim to the land is based on its being given to the tribes of Israel by God. And conquered from whoever lived there before.

Well in the sense that Netanyahu mentioned the Jews right to the land was in the bible. In other words they were there before the Palestinians . I assume he thinks that Palestinians arrived from the Arabian peninsula with Mohammed. But genetically that doesn't seem to be the case. They probably converted to Islam when Mohammed passed through.

Of course it does but currently wouldn’t it be better to hand the hostages over as defending yourself against a vastly superior force without the backing of Europe or America as in Ukraine seems not a very bright idea.
Don’t get me wrong I’m well aware Israel has been encroaching on Palestinian land but the taking of hostages is handing Israel the ammunition they needed to invade and bomb Gaza.

arriving in Palestine in 1948 which was 3000 years ago which is why its in monochrome because thats all God had at the time.

In all seriousness if they had just sorted out sharing the space with the Palestinians all would have been well but Zionism was born and from then on it was all about making Israel bigger and bigger at whatever cost - even blowing up hotels housing British Army officers

Do you really think handing over the hostages will make this stop? The declared intention of Israel is to drive Palestinians to "somewhere else" - they are unable to say where - and annex the whole of Palestine for the land. And once thats done they will just pivot North and go all in on Lebanon
 
Agree it won’t make it stop but our government will have no excuse to provide weapons to Israel. The world will see its a land grab Palestine has no Western allies on their side basically because of the hostages.
How do you see this ending if we don’t get an immediate ceasefire and the hostages released.
I’m hearing now they only have soldiers hostage all the civilians have been released

Nope.... you continue supporting the holding of the hostages and carry on watching the innocent casualties pile up - because that is what is happening and will continue to happen. I am only surprised you cannot see it. It appears you are that deeply entrenched and involved that you have no care for either the hostages being held nor the innocent civilian victims being slaughtered.

"Encroaching"???? Israel has been stealing land for a century, taking hostages (detention without trial) for decades, and Netanyahu stopped the ceasefire and hostage releases to keep the support of those who would cleanse the whole region of Arabs if they could.

Encroaching... good grief.
