Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

Tbh I don't think Vic is a serial twitter pusher - he tends to have thoughts /opinions of his own.
Well, that's kind, but I'd prefer to think that my thoughts and opinions are not really "my own" but based mostly on history. I don't think anyone has ever really engaged with the stuff I've posted, mostly from Jewish sources, about the history of Zionism - including Zionists dismissing opposition by anti-Zionist Jews who thought the Diaspora was G-d's will (you can be Jewish anywhere) and that a Jewish homeland would not be a practical way to end discrimination against Jews.

Id like to think we all realise that there is not a problem with 'the jews', but rather the extreme element of Zionists and the current genocidal Israeli government.

Another day, another war crime. I'm sure everyone queuing for aid were Hamas though...

"At least 26 people have been killed, and scores have been injured, near a US-backed aid distribution site near Gaza's southern city of Rafah, according to medics and residents.

A local Palestinian journalist told the BBC that thousands of Palestinians had gathered near a humanitarian aid distribution centre when Israeli tanks approached and opened fire on the crowd."

Sick, horrible bastards.

Despicable. Basically lined them up for a firing squadron of tanks.

More war crimes!

There'll never be any sort of peace as every Palestinian will know someone who has been taken out or been at one of the above places.

Israel have managed to turn everyone there into haters for generations and generations.

Tha answer certainly isn't Israel's plan of extermation but, even if all the world took the Palestine people in tomorrow, they'd still be 'terrorist' attacks on Israel and reprisals after what they've been out through.

Gazza is just a killing field and the occupants have nowhere to go & stuck in a big concentration camp while we all look on.

All our Twitter/ blue sky feeds are stuff you won't usually see on the BBC. This is because they are unregulated and shaped by our own likes and follows. I doubt my feelings on Gaza ect differ much from your own, but if I want to see what's on twitter I'm perfectly capable of looking cheers. In the meantime I'm no more interested in the contents of someone else's twitter feed than I am in their breakfast, and the way for them to pursue that interaction is on twitter really.
Well said, and the same goes right across the boards. if i wanna see twitter shit i'd go on twitter, if i had it.

Has support ever been there? - particularly if you rely on your own self affirming twitter feed as your primary source.
The twitter account posted is a pretty reliable one.

Times of israel:

"Barcelona’s city council voted Friday to cut institutional ties with the Israeli government and suspend its friendship agreement with the city of Tel Aviv, citing alleged violations of international law and the rights of Palestinians."

"Barcelona will also suspend a 1998 friendship agreement with the liberal coastal city of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, and it urged the trade fair organizer Fira de Barcelona not to host Israeli government pavilions or companies involved in the arms trade or profiting from the conflict in Gaza."

There was this with the football team in 2023 too:

"In a ceremony held before the game, Laporte emphasized the club's long-standing commitment to excellent relations with the State of Israel and the people of Israel. The Israeli diplomats presented Laporta with an Israeli flag and shield in recognition of years of support for Israel, friendship and joint activity, and building a bridge between nations through sports."

And slightly different but still of note and good to get an idea of how israel has been shitting all over Palestinians for some time. From 2013:

"The team got a taste of the difficulties in attempting to bridge the divide between opposing factions when, soon after the photocall, Israel’s cabinet announced a new plan which will see preferential funding going to settlements in the West Bank that are considered illegal under international law. The decision will no doubt infuriate the Palestinians days after the beginning of the first peace talks between the two sides since 2010."

There'll never be any sort of peace as every Palestinian will know someone who has been taken out or been at one of the above places.

This exactly. Move all Gazans to safety in another country that then gives them citizenship should they want it. Because you correct it won't mean peace for Israel the attacks will keep coming and just because they "win" that battle scarred land they have turned into a cemetery they will never be left in peace to re-develop in the manner they dream of.

For the zionists, it’s been 125 years coming but they are on a by hook or by crook rampage. Their colonisation getting closer.

Israeli's have denied anything happened at the aid camp last night/early morning. Hamas propaganda. Yet there's hundreds of Palistinians telling the story, also Three British Doctors at the local hospital who treated dozens of people with gunshot wounds and had seen the 28 dead Palestinians brought in too.
