Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

He missed out the ongoing slaughter of Nigerian Christians and South African farmers
Manchester Arena bombing anniversary was a couple of weeks ago - with it happening literally on our doorstep I'm disappointed he didn't give it a mentioned. Children needlessly killed in the name of extremism

from a (sadly) israeli blue.. love my manager for speaking truth to power. keep making those who are comfortable with these images uncomfortable. and dont talk to me about october 7th a day that i lost close friends on. this doesn't justify even 1% of what happened in the 18 months since

His own children nearly died in that bombing along with his wife, they came out early to get home by minutes.

It is high time that Israel faced cultural, economic and military sanctions. We do that with Iran and Russia and rightly so, South Africa were banned from playing international sport, and yet we haven't banned or sanctioned Israel. Why not?

Don't trade with Israel
Don't allow Israel to play international sport
Stop arming Israel
End Israel's genocide of Palestinians.

Free Palestine

Bit late to this, but I just watched Pep’s address after receiving his honorary doctorate, and he articulates it excellently. When innocent children are being slaughtered, it is not ideological to oppose such an egregious act on purely moral grounds. War is hell, and it’s uncomfortable to think that our taxpayer money is subsidising the actions of an Israeli government, which is seemingly spearheaded by some very unpleasant, far-right individuals. There’s nuance to it, of course, but, ultimately, from what I can tell, the response seems to be quite disproportionate. Also, it was good to see that he highlighted other atrocities across the globe. Always frustrates me when certain public figures show a remarkable lack of moral clarity, taking great offence at certain wars, and the adverse consequences associated with them, while turning a blind eye to others. Highly admirable stuff from Pep, we are immensely lucky to have him representing our club - on and off the pitch.
