It isn't the best statement ever, and he's still a knobhead. I'm hoping (maybe foolishly) that the more people who say it, the quicker it ends.

By international law she presumably means the League of Nations mandate, "in favour of the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, it being clearly understood that nothing should be done which might prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country".

But they now argue there was never such a place as Palestine, which means they must regard the Mandate in Palestine as about a place that never existed, so it's a bit hard to plead international law about a non-existent place.
 
History will grimace at this period.
For nearly seventy years, the western world has allowed, supported, and enabled the systematic abuse of the Palestinian people. It has done so because of the post-war guilt at the abhorrent treatment of the Jewish people. Zionists have used that guilt to wreak havoc on others under the impunity of antisemitic smears and a claim (I don't use the word belief) that a God declared this as land belonging to the Jewish people.
Still it goes on, buoyed by US support, and fat wallets provided by Israeli lobby groups.

I was pleased, yesterday, to hear of Columbia cancelling arms deals with the US worth 15bn per year; to hear Spain's PM speak out and sanction Israel; and to hear the TUC speaking starkly of UK complicity. Times are changing, and they must, because the evidence sneaking out of Gaza is horrific and explains why Israel forbid western journalists from entering the region. Nothing will happen until the US comes under such significant pressure that it has to act. The only way that happens is for global sanction against the US on trade. If this does not come from politicians, then it needs to come from the refusal of the global public to use US brands.

Most of the young folk supporting Palestinians are getting all their information and videos from Tic Toc. They will soon be ending.

The U.S. actually has a machanism for censoring news. They can decide which news can be published and which cannot. News outlets comply with the requirements. This kind of discipline does exist. TikTok is an outlier, but soon, it will be no different.

The last thing they have to reel in will be the Left Wing podcast/you tube channels. That will be next. Total authority over just about everything then.
