I have just seen that the Norway pension fund has now divested itself of any interest in Israeli companies. The remaining eleven have now been removed from Norwegian investments.

But they now argue there was never such a place as Palestine, which means they must regard the Mandate in Palestine as about a place that never existed, so it's a bit hard to plead international law about a non-existent place.

Palestine the area bordering the Mediterranean a land called Palestine was first mentioned by Herodotus the father of history he was the first to write down our history. On the other hand he never mentioned a place named Israel.

Just reading up on this couple as I wasn't aware of this story - apparently they ran an organisation called Rebuild that provided education and training programmes in Afghanistan. They said they are afghan citizens and want to return! Would be interested in more of what they've got to say and more of their experiences, but wonderful news that 2 seemingly brilliant people are free and safe.

The Guardian report the UK will recognise a Palestinian state as early as Friday. It would be a major step forward by Starmer, if he sent the Israeli ambassador home and announced an embargo on Israeli products.

In the meantime the IDF killed at least 50 more Palestinians today and everyday while the bombing of high rise apartments continues and the people are made homeless.
