You need to engage your brain and do a bit of reading. Hamas are a reasonably new phenomenon who have carried out attacks on Israel.reulting in deaths to perhaps 3000 people over the twenty years of their existence.
Israel however has been since its Inception involved in the displacement of millions of Palestinians, the destruction of property , the deaths and disfigurement of hundreds of thousands of people.

I condemned what they did years ago. As did generally everyone. They are a terrorist group.

I'm not sure the same can be said about what Israel are doing, it's more enabling with them doing atrocities... our govn, portions of the media, the whole media at the start of it, the American govn, the people of Israel all enabling this shit.

They're covering their arses. Thanks to musicians, notably the likes of Kneecap, Fontaine's DC, Paul Weller, Brian Eno, Roger Waters and actors like Javier Bardem as well as football clubs such as Celtic, Athletic Bilbao and others and just ordinary people all around the world, Palestine is the number one story in town and Israel is being shown up for what it is. There will be war crime tribunals and the likes of Macron, Lammy, Starmer don't want to be appearing alongside the delinquents Netanyahu, Trump, Smotrich and Ben Gvir.

Europe has been way behind the rest of the world.

Honourable exceptions Michael Higgins and Pedro Sanchez.
 
Meanwhile away from the charade at the UN, the rogue entity is upping the ante .... because until the coalition of the willing formally recognise reality they can and will.

There's been an occupation going on since 1967, with sporadic outbreaks of fighting. To think all was fine and dandy on the 7th of October is absurd. The Israelis have been stealing Palestininan land since before 1948. That has been the plan all the way along.
My view is that Palestinians have the right to oppose this occupation just as the French resistance opposed Nazi occupation, hence my question.
For me Hamas are the result of decades of occupation, harrassment, abduction of Palestinians. In addition they were backed by Israel to disrupt the PLO and afterwards the Palestinian authority.

So while their methods may be unsavoury to the world I would argue no more unsavoury and a lot less destructive than the IDF.

Palestinians need a defence force like everybody else.
 
Wow, pretty embarrassing to still be shilling for a genocidal regime at this point in history.

I wonder what it would have been like if social media was around when some of the other genocides of the last 100 years happened. Imagine having a permanent, public record of everyone who supported it to refer to after the fact. It'll genuinely be interesting to see how some deal with it, because in the past, people could just kinda pretend they were always against it.

Said it from the off, Palestinians don’t have an army to join to fight off an occupying force so what option do they have? And I’d do the fucking same if I’d watched my loved ones be blown to bits on a regular basis.

I would take it one step further.
Israel needs Hamas more than the Palestinians.
The israeli government need and indeed feed off the hate that they, (Israel) create. It gives them the excuse for the genocide.

If Israel had looked for a peaceful, politically negotiated settlement then Hamas would not have the power and influence it now has
