No way does Starmer and his cabinet follow social media because if they watched a fraction of video and pictures from Gaza they wouldn’t supply military equipment to Israel

Some things are so horrendous I can never un-see or publish the pictures, Trump has called for the IDF to stop but Netanyahu is not listening and will continue with his occupation of Gaza
 


Breaking news Spain demands the European Union suspend trade with Israel. This is long overdue. Sporting bodies should follow suit it needs to take similar action - more "persuasion" is evidently required.
Such measures can always be reversed once Israel shows they are ready to stop the bombing and live in peace with the Palestinians next door.

One of the few countries that will come out of this genocide with any kind of respect.

And the current Israeli government face the appropriate prison sentences.
 



The world will be shocked at the conditions two million people are living in, when Israel finally allows journalists into Gaza.
Our government won’t be horrified they’ve seen the video, they are aware of the destruction and are spying on Gaza every day.

This child will grow up to be a resistance fighter against the occupying force who have been stealing their land for ages as well as more recently carrying out a genocide, she should have said.
 
Disgusting attack by Hamas maybe but really what the fuck do Israelis think was going to happen after 70 years of dispossession, corralling people into open prisons, bulldozing people's houses, destroying their arable land, not to mention the expulsion of millions of people now living in refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan. Oh and the current genocide.
Israel is a sort of American state in the middle east. It's not supposed to be there.

As I have already posted in this thread about 6 months ago, the attack by Hamas on 7/10/2023 has to go down in the annals of history as the most ill- conceived, badly thought out and ultimately futile assault since the Imperial Japanese Navy's attack on Pearl Harbor.
Absolute madness by both attacking forces, with hugely damaging and catastrophic consequences for the civilian population of both nations.

Disagree. Israel was quietly getting on with it's appropriation of land in the West Bank. No one cared. Palestinians weren't a story.

Well they are now and people all over the world have woken up to what some of us have known for years. That Israel is an apartheid colonial state that has been treating the indigenous population appallingly since 1948.

So you think it was a good idea to launch an attack that resulted in the deaths of over 60,000 of their own population.
You are as mad as the leaders of Hamas, go ahead with a completely insane idea,and fuck the consequences for everyone in the rest of Gaza ,as the leaders live in a different country miles away from the war.
 


Can there be peace in Gaza ? For too long, Israel has been allowed to commit war crimes and breach international law without consequence.Peace in Gaza must have the full backing and involvement of Palestinians.The international community must step up, end their arming and funding of Israel, and bring this genocide to an end.

Go on about Hamas all you like. But it is Israel who is responsible for this genocide. And they are responsible for the suffering of the Palestian people since before the creation of the state of Israel. I'd also give a big shout out to Britain and the US.

You obviously have a very limited grasp of what's been going on there for decades

You come up with all sorts of reasons why this war happened.
I'm saying that it was a major mis- calculation by the leaders of Hamas.
As I originally said,very similar to when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.
That's it. I'm not interested in the whys and where for.
Just that it was a major fuck up,that has led to immeasurable suffering to the local population.
