Middle East Conflict

Israel have declared war on the entire area. Bombed Gaza to shreds, bombed Beirut. Carried out targeted assassinations all over the place including Tehran.

Anyway it's what Netanyahu wanted from the outset.
Were the Israelis not attacked by Hamas and Hizbollah beforehand? Isn't it just an endless cycle of tit for tat? But with the Israelis having more effective weapons.

I recall this has been happening since the 1970s when the PLO and it's affiliates were attacking Israel. The Oslo accord seems a long way off these days sadly.

All in response to attacks on Israel.
But you will ignore that as it doesnt suit your agenda.
Don't attack Israel and Israel doesn't attack you. You won't agree that is the case but it is.
Jordan post 6 day war, Saudi since the Oslo accords etc.

Always go back to the bit of history that makes the other side look like the aggressor, ignoring the decades of cunts that went before on all sides.

Could it be a chance for Israel to cut the head off the leadership and citizens to rise up in Iran or is that wishful thinking.

I think the biggest problem is everyone only has the filtered info on all sides. We only get to know about the Middle East via the means of vested interests on the news. Russia/Ukraine is far more understandable as its in our neighbourhood, the protagonists are known to us and many refugee's were welcomed here who could tell the unfiltered story.

Recent history should have taught us that regime change is often not a panacea, and frequently makes things worse.

Yes but both those countries are quite happy to allow the Palestinians to be kicked off their land, murdered by settlers etc.
Apart from that Israel reacts with a brutality rarely seen. If the Brits or Spanish had reacted to terrorists in Northern Ireland and the Basque country by blowing up blocks of flats and hospitals imagine the outcry.

When the say all out war who exactly is going to fight Israel? Iran have a long way to get there via Lebanon Syria or Yemen-unless the cut through Iraq, Saudi and Iraq I don’t think would get involved would they? So how exactly apart from missiles does Iran get at Israel, they will be picking off ground forces miles from Israel if the move through Lebanon or are they counting on all Arabs rising up?

In a perfect world, an end to the escalating crisis would be;

Israel leaves the occupied Palestinian territories.
Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Jordan and Iran accept the defined borders of the State of Israel.
Investment in the region to develop the surrounding areas most affected by these years of war.

But they won't, they're all too pig-headed, with long-lasting, deep rooted vitriol and hatred to realise where violence leads. I can only see this getting worse, not better.
