It wasn't a fake tweet. It was by this guy and he isn't denying posting it. He's claiming he was mistaken. The point stands that, given his credentials, anyone who saw his original tweet claiming Israel was responsible could understandably have believed that to have been true. The original poster I was replying to was implying that anyone who had believed Israel to be responsible had some kind of anti Israel bias. My point was that there were original sources saying that who are anything but biased against Israel.

So he's saying he was mistaken, not that it was a fake tweet.
So then the original tweet he made is worthless and not a point of reference of guilt, regardless, correct?

What a load of shite. I wasn’t implying that at all. My main point was about having evidence before jumping to conclusions. Something lots of posters on here have done. Obviously People have bias on either side. Trying to have a balanced view is seemingly impossible for some

So much fucking misinformation these days its terrible, its getting impossible to know what to believe. Im getting to the point where I just ignore everything that takes place further than a mile from my house, would be so much easier

Never did much before Musk, even less so now. It’s just random people saying words.

Could be true, a bit true and a bit not or pure fantasy and nobody verifies anything. Especially when it’s proper randomers having their Tweets (or whatever they’re called now) posted.

Could be some bloke from Benchill who’s never been out of Manchester who puts a Middle East sounding name and looking picture as his profile for all we know, yet we’re fooled into thinking it’s a reputable source of information directly coming from the scene.

The same bloke could have a Ukrainian profile he switches between, and another climate change one on the backburner n’all.

the last few months on twitter has gotten so much worse for it too. adding into that all the dodgy links flying around that look like they are probably viruses / phishing links. im very close to closing down my twitter and facebook accounts.

On this, I have pretty much zero trust of any account that isn't more than a few years old. if its an account thats 7/8 years old then if its dodgy then its one hell of a long game they are playing.
