It’s a horrible thought but very much reminds me of what the Nazi’s did. Forcing people into a distinct area and then killing them from above.

On sanctioning Israel for FIFA.

All the Premier League home grounds with the big screens this week can opt if so wish to display a minute of that burning IV drip man Sha’aban who was burnt alive in a tent outside of the Al-Aqsa hospital. Since the video has gone viralled and many high-level politicians and leaders are appalled by it anyway. Might as well.

Our last Israeli was Eyal Berkovic. I wonder what his opinions of the current Gaza conflict is from his vantage point.

Edit: Just to be clear, this was a satirical reference to the inconsistencies in the UEFA and FIFA edict to not bring politics into the sport by cleverly, I thought at least, reversing the edict and, without being serious, applying it to the post I was replying to. Just thought I would clear that up as nuance doesn't travel too well on social media.

Same token ... why were Russia banned from international football and Olympics? this is a genocide that is ongoing.

Ukraine were given a minutes silent (and rightly so), why not discuss Israel actions against Palestinians? Why are Israel still permitted to play in internationals? Or Is it an Arab thing?

The radicalisation in the Conservative Party is frankly terrifying. And Reform are also potential fascists. The post war consensus and taboos about what is acceptable and what is unacceptable seem to be dissolving.

FWIW, many Israeli social media users are praising comments on TikTok, X, Instagram on the burning of Shaaban being justified and that Palestine deserves it.

And I thought the only indoctrinated far-right are outliers.

Reminds me of the pancakes they made to mock Rachel Corrie - the American peace activist who was protesting Israelis bulldozing palestinian homes. She was killed when Israelis ran over her in a tank - just think about the brutality of that for a moment.

They then made pancakes with her face on it to mock her (cos she was completely flattened by a tank, like a flat pancake - haha get it? Hilarious!):
