Im not a muslim but I didn't vote labour this time for the same reason as a lot of democrats wouldn't have voted for harris - I'm not voting for genocide. I've not had kids being blown to pieces live streamed to my phone every day for over a year only to actually go out and vote for the people who not only allow it but help contribute to it

I get the "lesser evil" argument, but all of what's being said and done was already being said and done anyway, its just that Trump has actually come out and said it himself so it's finally got some mainstream media attention. Could argue we wouldn't even have this (supposed) temporary ceasefire if the democrats were still in

Truth is both the democrats and Republicans are occupied by israel (see AIPAC) and the genocide and ethnic cleansing will carry on anyway. It will carry on from here when the news story changes and israel and the US just carry on mass murdering and press on with their ethnic cleansing, and few people will give a fuck. It was the same when israel bombed the first hospital in gaza - global outrage. Then the propaganda is pumped out, news story changes and barely anyone gave a fuck as Israel went on and bomb every other hospital, school and mosque in gaza. They just don't get it mate. I had the American posters frothing at the mouth when I was acusing Biden of Genocide. They just weren't fuckin buying it. Now we have folk moaning that Muslims didn't vote for Biden. Since he lost we even learnt he knocked back the Ceasefire in May last year so the bombs could keep flowing. And folk still defend it.

Isn't the relevant question how do you forcibly displace upwards of 1.75M people and what that would look like now the cloak of plausible deniability been removed?

They are more than likely signing up to the cause and will have American soldiers on the ground in Gaza in their eyesight. It will be a bloodbath with bodybags going back to the states. I think all this that Trump is mouthing off about is none starter.

Was listening to someone earlier who said it will take 20 years to move the rubble and new infrastructure complete. Minimum.
 
While Israel should really be footing the bill for all the destruction they've caused, they're not going to.
So it really is about time the Saudis put up or shut up. They could fund the rebuild, whilst Egypt and Jordan could be the peacekeeping force on the ground.
140 countries recognize Palestine as a country so it's only been Israel and the US blocking this.

I'd assume that's for people to rebuild it for Palestinians, and not for the colonizers?

I mean they could build another pier if that helps logistically, like the one they (supposedly) built to help humanitarian aid get into Gaza (propaganda bullshit), which was actually used by Israeli forces who hid in aid trucks dressed in civilian clothing (war crimes) to murder 270 Palestinians. Over a hundred people slaughtered were women and children.

The pier was then dismantled, but I'm sure they could knock up another one. If it's for building settlements and not saving people's lives the US would make a better job of it...
