As somebody said their media training is bobbins. They view everything through their own prism. They are losing support across the globe as a mass grave is built at a hospital. Today a march started from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem to pressure Bibi to bring home a suspected 340 hostages.
Won't happen now - ever. What incentive is there for HAMAS to hand them over?
Israel has via crap leadership that thought 7th Oct was a chance to wipe out HAMAS and secure a stranglehold on power forever instead created the worst enemy you can have. An enemy who has nothing left to lose. Ukranian forces go to war to protect and recover their land. Yes some of it is devastated but they come from places that largely look like they did pre-conflict. Gaza is so small its all but gone already so its a fight to the death. Would Israel stop if the hostages were handed over? Would they fuck they have already said their stated aim is to wipe out HAMAS. Sadly HAMAS could kill hostages with captured Israeli munitions hand the bodies over to Israel and publicly claim Israel did it. Killed in the crossfire. There is no end to this now until Israel occupies it all and settlers move in - then rinse and repeat with West Bank Palestinians and Hezbollah kicking off

No amount of media training can account for delusional ethnocentric irredentist world views.

If the Americans are so influential and compassionate then why are they allowing this to happen for the last 50 years?
I know you are a very compassionate poster but the Israeli apologists on here need to watch this as well.

It’s a hard watch.
I’ve seen other stuff similar.
The helplessness is debilitating in itself.
We in the western world know this is happening and we do nothing and allow our own governments to do nothing.

We are really on a road to nowhere as a species..

Can anyone in here genuinely defend Israeli policy in The West Bank alone..
You can justify anything to yourself, I suppose, but I think it won’t bring peace.
Peace only comes through seeing things from the other side outside your own prism, no matter how unpalatable that other side may seem.
Empathy for other’s suffering not just your own and then agreeing on compromise.

It’s not like we haven’t seen this behaviour before and yet we repeat the same mistakes over and over again. All it gets you is constant conflict. If you treat people inhumanly there eventually comes a breaking point with dire consequences.

Arms trading is a brutal business. No doubt the US and U.K. will take up any slack. More a gesture than anything else

Just watching Regev on Newsnight basically saying they are going to destroy HAMAS regardless of what it takes they will not want to kill hostages but any hostages killed will have been killed by HAMAS....... yeah right

It's ruthless I have no bad feelings towards Muslim or Jewish people but this has gone out of control now. I feel bad for the kids.

I suppose the Israelis absolutely HAVE to present evidence of significant operational connections between the hospital and the tunnels underneath (I am assuming there are tunnels underneath, because that is what I would do) so prepare for lots of "evidence" after this raid and use a critical eye. Let's see if the evidence is more compelling than at Rantisi which, quite frankly, was a joke. If they don't have anything conclusive after this one, they will be in trouble, and so will the US.
