Middle East Conflict

I've referred previously to the "genocidiares" (a term from an article in Haaretz). I had missed some of the worst examples of genocidal intent. The ICJ case has quite a collection.

This is just one Reservist Major General, Giora Eiland:
"The people should be told that they have two choices; to stay and to starve, or to leave."
"If there is an intention for a military action at Shifa [Hospital], which I think is inescapable, I hope that the head of the CIA got an explanation of why this is necessary, and why the US must ultimately back even an operation like this, even if there are thousands of bodies of civilians in the streets afterward.” “Israel needs to create a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, compelling tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands to seek refuge in Egypt or the Gulf . . . Gaza will become a place where no human being can exist.”

Perhaps the giveaway is what he said about the last 20 years:
“...create such a huge pressure on Gaza, that Gaza will become an area where people cannot live. People cannot live, until Hamas is destroyed, which means that Israel not only stops to supply energy, diesel, water, food … as we did in the last twenty years … but we should prevent any possible assistance by others, and to create in Gaza such a terrible, unbearable situation, that can last weeks and months”.

fuck me its heart breaking - I used to favour Israel - not any more

Most won’t see this stuff as the mainstream news sources know that a lot of the general public just won’t stomach it. However, doing the rounds over various platforms it’s hard to get away from how horrifying this has become.

fuck me its heart breaking - I used to favour Israel - not any more

US, UK, EU and western media outlets such as BBC and Sky an absolute disgrace. All complicit in genocide.

Well done to the South African. They fought off the western colonial masters and ended apartheid so they know what evil is Israel and it’s criminal supporting gang.

And that is the existential threat to Israel. Not a few rockets. Not the Hamas Charter. Not the worst attack on Jews since the Holocaust.

The existential threat is that people now understand why, horrifying though it was, October 7th happened. It was not in a vacuum.

If Israel says it is "us or them" it will be "them" (sooner or later), simply because of what you've said. It's a bit like the 80s when the USA was installing and propping up fascist dictators in South and Central America and people started asking "Why are we on the side that's murdering nuns?" "Why are we on the side of Israel?" is the question of the day for many now, particularly a generation that does not deny the Holocaust but no longer regards it as justification for creating a new holocaust. (I nearly wrote, "though no-one is planning to exterminate 6 million Arabs", but I fear that there are some in Israel who would suggest that solution.)

"I used to favour Israel" can cover all sorts of things. "I used to favour Israel as a homeland for Jews." "I used to favour Israel against Palestinian terrorism." "I used to favour Israel - but not now I realise their ambitions for the borders of Israel." The existential threat is when "I used to favour Israel" starts to mean questioning the right of the state of Israel to exist. Now the latter view may be implied by a "free Palestine", but if that becomes not just a "pro-Palestinian" view but an anti-Israel view there is a threat - and that new generation is less likely to accept a religious justification for Israel, and that includes religious Jews in Israel who aren't going along with support from evangelical Americans based on the prospect that Jesus will return and Jews will either convert or die.

Heart-breaking indeed.

South Africa is taking a stand against Israel but it remained neutral when it came to supporting Ukraine, make of that what you will. When will it take Russia to the Hague? Guess what, never.

BRICS. This is about far more than 140 square miles of land in Gaza.

The world is waking up and seeing how evil these sick bastards are and those that support them.
The only people who can stop it are the masses. Fuck the western governments, fuck the desperate fake accusations, mass protest is the only decent thing to do.

Ukraine supported Israel and backed them in this Gaza genocide. Our little Zinchencho now morally bankrupt waves his Israeli flag yet condemned Russia. They should know and understand better when they complains of Russian aggression the same thing Israel is doing to Palestine. Make what you can of these hypocrites.

South Africa deserves amazing praise for today.
Let Europe and West continue the Ukraine war and their double standard hypocrisy.

Well done South Africa I salute you!

I respected the underdog as I thought of them but now I care not one jot for them - they have appeared as cunts murdering kids and that I can never forgive
