I said in the match day thread that he is abysmal in games like this because he likes to even it up when we dominate. Therefore he was fucking awful tonight. I think he is a decent ref in big games because he won’t take shit from any side.

He actually got worse second half and was a helping hand in getting villa back into that game with the foul on zinchenko not given and the rest we know ..

That didn't really happen until the last 10 mins or so of the half. Could easily have had someone in his ear. There are refs that are just shit and spread the bad calls out evenly. However, some referees don't deserve the benefit of the doubt of just being shit and he's one of them IMO. Everybody is expecting it as soon as he is named as the referee for our game. This was not just an off night for Mike Dean.
