Mike Dean

Towards the end he was waving at Zinchenko to hurry up with a throw in. Earlier, he did sod all about the Villa player (twice) spending 2 or 3 minutes wiping the ball. Still, I suppose it was their own time they were wasting.
Ha when I was watching that I was almost screamy Get The Fuck On With It, then I thought meh we're in front however, sending/drying the ball (I thought after Delap) towels weren't allowed?) is still stopping the flow of the game & timewasting.

Quite astonishingly... the Villa clowns think he was biased against them and let us get away with murder... ycnmiu

Did anybody else pick up on the Amazon commentator comments that City haven’t had a penalty award this season which for a team who spend so much time in the opposition’s box was remarkable?

It‘s an incredible stat that, and something that shows how we’re so unfairly refereed. I have to say though, we really don’t help ourselves as we seem to be reticent to go down or look for contact.

We should be coaching players to get any advantage they can to win a game, particularly as we don’t really score enough goals this season, and rags and scousers already get so much help from the officials.

And they couldn't understand why. Foul on Jesus was I think called clumsy by them. It was a penalty however soft and if given I doubt it would have been overturned. Funny how minimal contact by Rodri on one of their players who then bellyflopped was called instantly a foul as it gave them a chance to pump a ball into our box
Whereas, when Rodri was crawling along the turf trying to get his legs free from Luis, who'd wrapped his arms around him when he was on the deck, Dean eventually and reluctantly blew for foul for us as there was "no advantage".

I suppose he DID give us the foul so I shouldn't moan too much, but it's the reluctance to give us anything that I'm highlighting.

We get absolutely stonewall penalties turned down, so why do you think our players down go down easily or look for contact?

We'd just be giving possession away and getting our own players wound up by implementing the "salah-esque" tactics you suggest.
