Mike Porky Parry

You must admit that Parry has done very well for himself, never more than a tabloid hack in his time in Fleet Street he sort of stumbled around afterwards doing bits and pieces of PR work and certainly had a lucky break at TalkSport.

He's a bit like Terry Christian, just intelligent enough to provoke an argument but not nearly intelligent enough to have an original thought.

Parry's style of broadcasting is very formulaic, make a ridiculous statement then spend two hours simultaneously backtracking on and defending it whilst pouncing on any minor detail that a caller may get wrong.

Alongside Saggers it's sort of a 'thick cop, bored cop' scenario, Saggers knows he's better than TalkSport but takes the money and smiles politely. The fact that Saggers left the BBC for bucket loads of cash is rather ironic really when you think how much crap the station throw at players joining City 'for the money'?

White van man radio.

Oh goody, the daily talkshite thread.

Had to laugh on way home last night where Gough must have been under instruction to be pro-City, pathetic but good for a giggle.
They are pretty much Radio City these days, 24/7.

There should be an official talksport thread on here maybe even as a sticky!! On a daily basis this station gets loads of free advertisement by the masses that fall into the trap of being provoked by this station.
Take it for what it is, a station that has no credability, spouts shit 99% of the time, and is a bit of light hearted entertainment, which imo makes a nice change from all the other boring drab, that comes across the wireless.

I'm actually beginning to enjoy all the vitriol being thrown at us, it genuinely makes me laugh. It would be literally impossible for every member of the media to believe we will not be successful yet the party line being towed is clearly aimed at stopping our bandwagon before it gets rolling. The bottom line is SKY sell more packages worldwide to supporters of "The Top 4" so maintaining the Status Quo is high on their agenda. City upsetting the applecart would be very costly for Mr Murdoch. Many of our daily papers are owned by his News Corp business. As for Talksport, they are clearly in cahoots with SKY and the monkeys employed there read from scripts, so they are only doing as they are told. I'm sure if you met some of their presenters in a pub they would express different views than the crap they spout on air.
By nature, the British public generally have a backlash against anyone who has enjoyed "good press" and vice versa for those that are vindicated. Hang fire, enjoy it all, our time has come.

who gives a flying f--k what parry says, he's so fat he'll be dead soon anyway...

what i want is the legends phone in back and terry christian on the after match phone ins.

typical - when we are rubbish these shows are on and people like gary owen have a hard time fighting our corner when mickey thomas is sat there with united looking down on everyone esle

if they had it this season we could all go on and slate christian and gary owen would be laughing his head off at sharp, kennedy and thomas asking them where they are in the league and why haven't they bought anyone

typical

I don't know why our fans continue to get upset at comments like this....for me the fact that talksport or ssn or the national press can't get through the day without talking about us is great, we are the 'big news' and i hope it continues like this...
