I was just putting it out there and seeing what everyone thinks. Possible alternative is Benat would anyone like to see him here?

I think Arteta wouldn't come too - he won't get regular game time like he does for Arsenal.

Benat is quite good; neat and tidy - Pirlo type of player. Would be nice to have in the squad - but he could end up just being a very expensive squad player. However, he is a player who City lack - deep lying playmaker. I think it all depends on the price, Txiki and co. will be (or should be) being very careful with prices after what happened last season.

I say no because of his age. He completes an awful lot of passes, and his defensive stats are pretty impressive considering he isn't a natural DM. While we do need more creativity from deeper, signing a 30-year old really isn't a good idea. I think we'd be better off getting a younger deep-lying playmaker such as Banega or Benat. I also like the look of Obiang, and Mancini's Sampdoria connection could help us get him.
