Sound reasoning but you used Hazard and Messi both were outstandingly fast you would have been better using Bernardo who is also faster but a very similar player, but then we already know Bernado can do a job on the wing but a better one as AM

They aren't quick in a straight line. They are quick with the ball and able to move it very fast. Straight line speed isn't that important as a winger. Dribble speed, ball manipulation, positioning and timing of runs are far more important.

I know you will have watched the Yokohama game, the lesson from that game was that speed dictates who is first to 50/50 balls who controls the space and eventually who controls possession and control of the game, we won that game because we were better in front of the net, this will not have been lost on Pep who loves his midfield and has used these tactics himself for years, if we lose Sane we lose one of the few pace merchants with ability
