Just booked a week in Italy, starting in Milan for three nights, then heading to Venice, Verona and then Lake Garda.

Has anyone got any tips on things to do/see.

Obviously the San Siro and Verona's ground are top of the list - she just doesn't know it yet - but has anyone got any recommendations?

Try jump on the train from Milan to Como, i loved every bit of it and only 30 mins.

You'll be surpised how much of a shit hole the San Siro is both inside and out.

I did the same trip last year but...Milan, Venice, Como.

Enjoy

Lake Garda... Lovely...

Stayed in Torbole in 92 when City were on pre season tour to Italy...

So posh... and to think the hotel had 50 loons from Chadderton staying there.. Madness!

I usually stay at limone, like you say great place, stayed at Sirmione once, that was posh as fuck.

Bring your walking shoes to Venice. I got lost 2-3 times every day. Ditch Venice and go to San Gimignano and Siena IMO! But if you haven't seen Venice it is definitely nice to see it once.

Getting lost is half the fun, been 5 or 6 times.

The church in Milan is nice. You can go on the roof and get a nice view of the city. Hot in the summer up there though.

The shopping mall is very posh

Some nice restaurants in Milan also obviously.

Going at the back end of September so it should have cooled down a little by then.

Staying in place called Desenzano del Garda, mainly because of the transport links and the fact we will using the train a lot. Only be there for a couple of days but it looks nice enough and not too far from Simione if we fancy something posh for the day - unlikely.
