Actually thought it would be higher than that in all honesty.There were around 440 stabbings in Manchester in 2020 and that had risen from previous years where each year from 2016 saw a rise.
Not seen the stats for 2021 but the trend is upwards so it’s probably not going to have gone down.

Both wholly inadequate.While its a huge shame and an unnecessary waste of life,its hardly a surprise to wake up to such news.
Society is a mess,we live in times that are as bad as ive ever known,and until genuine deterrents and punishment,or,ideally....education,is implemented,then these incredibly sad,barbaric,and tragic,incidents will continue to be a part of our existence.

Sentences have never been tougher. If convicted, the bloke will get life in prison with a minimum tariff.Both wholly inadequate.
