Rodgers came out to the press and mentioned his contract not Sterling. The club and the media are to blame for this in most parts

I think Milner led the club on a bit of a dance down the garden path. Unless he got 'assurances' about game time and position, he was never gonna sign, so I think he could just have come out and said that he was moving on at the end of his contract. He did fulfil his contract, that is true, and gave 100% every time he turned out, but I still feel he wasn't entirely straight. Mind, I think, Sterling is as straight as a corkscrew!

Milner did whats best for him and so has Sterling.
Difference we do not castigate him for it, he served us well... Contrast with scouse fans treatment of raheem- class shows!
Milners contract run out (at the end of the season) and he was technically a free agent and we couldn't do fuck all about it. Sterling was under contract and Liverpool were holding the cards and screwed us to the floor.
Unlikely to happen (I know and I hope) but imagine if Real Madrid or Barcelona made a move for Sergiowith two years left on his contract, and he didn't shun the advance.... I wonder what the reaction would be? Not too dissimilar to the scousers reaction to Sterling or Suarez I think. Like I say I hope and pray this would never happen.

Liverpool dominated the 80's so therefore every player should want to play for Liverpool and not a club currently fighting for titles every season!
One is a Committed footballer who recognises he will struggle to get game time after more quality is added to a team with a future, and the other is the quality mentioned above. We can afford the fee, and Liverpool should be happy because they can buy two more Southampton players so they can reach their lofty ambition of becoming errrm, Southampton. Is it any wonder Liverpool fans are upset?
