Milner / Sterling, so what's the difference?

Just had a thought. If Bin Dipper fans are so delighted with the Sterling deal and so glad to see him go, why have they sent the lad over 3,200 abusive texts/tweets including more than a few death threats? Just saying.
Numpties...........

Numpties...........

Considering most of them are innumerate, they are taking a surprising amount of interest in the amounts of money they are making from this deal as well.

The difference

City way: James Milner....Boss, i want to move on. Ok James, can we offer you more money to stay? No boss... Ok James, good luck mate.

Liverpool way: Raheem Sterling...Boss, i want to move on. Ok Raheem, can we offer you more money to stay? No boss... Ok Raheem, i'm going to make it difficult for you. I will leak to the press that your a little money grabbing twat with no loyalty. I will get your team mates to speak to the press making you look bad. After you do leave, i will trash you forever. Raheem...Whatever!

I find it amazing that Liverpool rated Raheem Sterling so highly, that they wouldn't sell him for less than £50m. They risked losing him for free after next year, yet still wouldn't sell for less. Brendan Rogers himself praised him to the high heavens, and the fans did the same. The moment they do sell him, all the dippers suddenly rate him as shite, not worth £20m and a bench warmer. Me thinks there is a touch of bitterness going on here...

To be fair if you read the article he didn't phrase it like that.

Former Manchester City man James Milner insists he is now with a bigger club at Liverpool.

The midfielder left the Etihad at the end of his contract this month to join Liverpool after winning two Premier League titles and FA Cup and a Capital One Cup in his time with the Blues.

He says he made the switch to ensure maximum playing time - but his parting shot about the Blues’ status is set to get under the skin of City fans.

And the fact that his comments come in a week when a plethora of former Anfield stars have lined up to have a pop at City over the Raheem Sterling saga , will exacerbate that feeling.

Milner said: “It’s a huge club and Man City, maybe over the course of history, isn’t as quite as big as Liverpool.

“At this moment in time City are doing very well and expected to win trophies. The set-up is all there.
I had a lot of conversations with the hierarchy at City and they never said a bad word about me.

“It was just their opinions on where I fitted in.”

Milner was disgruntled about the amount of playing time handed to him by City manager Manuel Pellegrini - particularly in big games.

“They saw me as a big part of the club,” he said.

As for the difference Milner's ending his career, Sterling is starting his.
All he's saying in a roundabout way is that City are on their way up while Liverpool are on their way down.
Can't really argue with that.
