As things stand, with one game to play, we're 20 points ahead of the rags. We're at home to West Ham and they're away at Southampton. I'd like to think we'll at least match their result if not better it.

So, a question to all the historians, when was the last time we finished this far ahead of them?

I'd say 1936-37 when we finished 25pts ahead as we won the league and they went down. That's on a 2pt system for a win. 33pts when adjusted to 3pts a win.

Never this big since we moved to 3 points for a win.

So we're one win away from achieving our first ever League/Cup double and finishing farther ahead of the rags than we've done in living memory?

What a wonderful time to be Blue!

If United lose, then I'd be hoping that we won't match their result!
