I'm talking about strengthening to the max within our budget, as opposed to we were OK last season, so let's mend & make do if it comes to it this season coming.

Our squad is strong but can be stronger. No team has ever progressed by standing still & the longer we do, the quicker the rest will close the gap.

We have a gap now, so we should ruthlessly press home that advantage with everything we can afford to throw at it. Like I said, it's about opinions & approaches.

We have signed one of the Premier League's proven top players.

We've got 22 senior players, not including our academy options & that includes Zinchenko. Do the maths.

18 days is 13 short of what we have in January? You're carrying on as if I'm demanding this before the season starts when I'm not. I'm purely stating the fact that in my personal opinion I think we need another 3 players & then we'll be ready to rock until Dinho, Silva, Kompany & Aguero need to be replaced. We haven't even got around to replacing Yaya yet & I fear it will only take a couple of injuries & suspension to put us under pressure.
