Finally got round to going to the Factory records exhibition at the Science & Industry Museum before the match yesterday. Decent and would have spent more time there but Pep phoned to say I had to get to the ground. The bastard :)

I never understood why Fear of Music never really took off. (c2004-2008). I think they signed to a big label but got dumped after their album flopped. You'd think that period of time was perfect for their sort of indie.

It was always hard to believe that a band as impossibly young as Fear Of Music could be as good as they were made out to be. Surely it was all hype. As a way of refuting the claims, their eponymous debut EP is a glorious two fingers to the doubters.

Wythenshawe lads. The singer was Paul Young (not the crap one)...he sang with Mike and the Mechanics, amongst others. Sadly passed away a few years ago. I knew his son from school.
