Missing 1926 Shirt COA Crest

Here’s the oldest shirt in the collection which turns 97 years old tomorrow.

George Hicks match worn FA Cup final shirt v Bolton on 24th April 1926, complete Wembley mud stains !!

I would love to re-unite the shirt with the original coat of arms badge that has been carefully removed at some stage, who knows could well be stored away somewhere !!

It could 100% but it's not something I'd want to do but would certainly look the part I suppose

I suppose the issue is that it would affect the authenticity of the shirt and also although it might look good with a replacement badge you, as a collector, would know its not quite the real deal. That's what would really matter IMHO.

It was sold at auction by the Hicks family so was purchased by me from the blue who bought it at auction

Thing of beauty that, although the fact we lost the final is a minor issue! Beat the rags in the semi finals though - they really love to bottle it against us in the FA Cup don't they!
