I'm going to miss MCFC BOB on here but we're keeping in touch via Twitter and Facebook. He is a good lad and I think he used to enjoy fishing some people in with his posting style. Asking to be banned isn't as ridiculous as it might sound. You're effectively ensuring you're making a clean break from a forum and no longer associating yourself with it. I did it elsewhere once but make the mistake of going back.

He could just decide not to type in 'Bluemoon' into his internet search? That would have the same effect as being banned, i.e. not coming on here at all.

I imagine one would need to be at least 12 to have that kind of self control.

If you leave unofficially then there's the temptation to log back on or retrieve private messages from other forum users trying to contact you. I was well known on another forum and asked the chief Mod to terminate my account in order for me to make a clean break from it. I found the place a major distraction when I was trying to apply for new jobs or keep up with correspondence. It shocked him and it shocked my friends on there too - but I needed the severance for my own good.

As I said, I liked Bob and I considered him an ally.

ally? ha, you going to war?

it's a bit pathetic, no offense, if you aren't able to stop yourself logging onto a website without having to be banned/have your account cancelled.

Jesus fucking Christ - have a word with yourself.
That is simply embarrassing.
No wonder you cleared off to London.

SWP's pic and his witty replies has just reminded me of Bluemoon's very own Mr Smooth. Didiactic. Whatever happened to him?

It was a very hissy fit, in fact one of the finest we have ever seen on here

On the subject of Bob, I can only reiterate that he asked for his account to be deactivated and so it was, he has no need to sign up as a new member he just needs to ask for it to be reactivated

He posted the other day up in the main forum.

His posts up there are generally quite good to be honest.

-- Thu Sep 05, 2013 7:24 pm --

It was just a distraction I didn't need and I guess I lacked discipline.
